Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Tam found herself chasing endless winters and living in Edwards, Colorado. Dirt has taken the place of snow and this is where Tam spends her time. She embraces mountain biking, XTERRA triathlon or her new fall fun, Cyclocross – bring on the Mud! Tam is a licensed USA Triathlon and USA cycling coach.
She spends her days as a leading personal trainer and cycling coach at the Club. Inspired by helping people to discover their best performance, and surprise themselves in their own ability, she started Donelson Coaching where she coaches athletes of all levels. Tam also shares her passion for cycling through coaching The Cycle Effect, a non-profit organization that provides brighter futures to young women through mountain biking, which she co-founded with her husband.
Christy Madison, X FIT and Winter Sport Conditioning
Certifications: NASM CPT, TRX Suspension. Christy has always had a love for being active and helping others. She grew up in the valley and loves to hike with her dog, run, snowboard, and laugh with friends. Working out has always been a hobby and she enjoys assisting others in reaching their fitness goals. Her desire to help others accomplish weight loss and overall fitness goals developed after she was able to conquer her lifelong struggle of being overweight.
She worked diligently for many years on her diet as well as staying active to finally see her hard work pay off when she lost 30 pounds. She strives to hold people accountable for one of life’s most difficult obstacles. Because she’s conquered the task of weight loss herself, she knows what it takes and wants to share her knowledge and help others see the results they’ve been dreaming of for years.
Certifications: AFFA Personal Training Certification., BASI Pilates,. Zumba Dance, TRX., Johnny G Spin training and Booty Barre certification. Deb has been teaching group classes in the Vail Valley for over 25 years. Deb’s own fitness routines led her into personal training, Pilates equipment, and private group classes. Living in the mountains it gives so many options outdoors, winter, summer and fall for activities. As a trainer, Deb loves giving as many options indoors too.
Austin Stauffer moved to Colorado 6 years ago from Holland, Michigan to pursue a career in the ski industry. He is currently a ski school supervisor in Lionshead. Austin has his full PSIA Certification in Alpine Skiing. He also is certified in teaching group fitness and bootcamp classes. Some of Austin's biggest passions include skiing, lacrosse, biking, hiking, and camping. He has always been passionate about teaching athletics to others. He loves spending a few days a week coaching lacrosse to middle school students.
Certifications: Barbara Hutner Barre. Missy has an extensive background in the fitness industry, and has been teaching Pilates for many years. She enjoys leading her students through a vigorous workout. You’ll catch Missy teaching cardio reformer, as well as traditional equipment classes.
Missy leads class with enthusiasm and enjoys seeing her students have fun. She believes Pilates is a full body workout, and presents her classes in a way that is accessible to all levels. Originally from Birmingham Alabama, Missy enjoys living in the mountains and the outdoor activities it has to offer. Missy teaches Pilates Reformer and Barre throughout the week. Her passion is her daughter!
Bratzo Horruitiner was born in Peru and has been living in the Vail Valley for over 15 years. He has practices martial arts for most of his life, and has been teaching since 1999. He has trained with several highly accomplished and renowned martial artists, which allowed him to gain a deeper technical understanding of boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. He has developed curriculums and camps for both professional and amateur fighters. Bratzo feels passionately about empowering others through the practice of martial arts, providing them with the opportunity of becoming fit, building confidence and self-esteem, as well as a stronger self-concept.
Jeff is a Certified Rolfer® and Cold Laser Therapist as well as an NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His background includes intensive study in the fields of sport and exercise science, nutrition, spinal biomechanics, Rolfing® Cold Laser Therapy (LLLT) and personal training for performance enhancement. Utilizing a broad spectrum of treatment approaches, he specializes in relief from chronic pain conditions as well as post-rehabilitation from acute injuries.
Jeff founded Vail Valley Rolfing Inc. in Avon in 2005 and has been growing and evolving his practice since that time, searching for integrated and innovative approaches to address various chronic pain conditions. In addition to his thriving private practice, Jeff currently serves as faculty at the Higher Elevation Healing Arts School in Eagle teaching Clinical Pathology and Movement/ Postural Assessment Strategies.
Mike Dorr is a CPT with TRX, Gym Jones Level 1 and Strong first Kettlebell Instructor Course certifications, and a special place in his heart for core & Olympic lifts. His workouts engage multiple muscle groups. He strives from strength improvement and lean muscle development with each client. He is passionate about form first before adding weight.
Donna brings her love and zest for life into each of her classes. On top of being a mom to three boys, she loves to get outside and be active and enjoy the Colorado sunshine! Donna teaches Pilates barre, Barrebata, QXWorx and personal trains. She is a great resource for anyone looking for a little push toward their goals.
Chad is a former missed marital artist, high school wrestling coach, and trainer to the Commerce City PD. He understands whit it takes to deliver quality instruction to a variety of personalities. In addition, he is uniquely aware of injuries pertaining to the joints and back due to years of wrestling and missed martial arts. He is well-versed in varied teaching methodologies and holds a Masters of Science in Adult Teaching. Chad is always ready to the get the best you out in front!
Josiah Middaugh, NSCA - CSCS
Josiah Middaugh is the 2015 XTERRA World Champion. An 11-time XTERRA USA World Champion and 6-time USSSA National Snowshoe Champion, Middaugh is well known throughout the Vail Valley as an elite level, multi-disciplined athlete. He coaches the Athletic Club’s Masters Swim program and coaches athletes of all levels and aspirations through Middaugh Coaching. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA, and holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology.
